President
Molly Adamson
Hi I'm Molly! I'm a second year HSPS student and your new President of the JCR. I am a member of the College's Governing Body alongside the fellows and I attend the various College committees to communicate your views to college. The JCR is here to make sure your voice is heard, so please feel free to reach out with any ideas or concerns.
Nathan oversees the JCR Budget, and is responsible for allocating money to sports teams and societies. He also keeps a check on JCR spending in other areas such as Ents and general Officers expenses. The budget is produced annually and presented to a DCAC (MCR and JCR) Open Meeting, and Nathan also presents a mid-year financial report to the college.

Hi, I'm Shay. I'm the JCR VP and JCR Bar Operations Officer. My role in the JCR is to oversee the Ballot process in Lent Term, liaise with different members of the wider Committee and College, and assist other members as needed. I am also the external liaison officer of the JCR, so I deal with communicating with the University, SU and other institutions that want to get involved with us or vice-versa. If you ever need me, feel free to email me, or you'll likely see me at DBar if you ever want a chat :)
Internet Officer
Alex Reay
Alex is responsible for the JCR's various online services, including the JCR Rooms Bookings, DCAC Reimbursement Forms, and the JCR Website. He is also responsible for helping run the ballot for rooms in February and the JCR elections in March every year, as well as calculating room bands and prices, in collaboration with the Vice-President and Accommodation & Services Officer.
I’m Cornelia, this year’s Foundation Year Officer! I was in the third Foundation Year cohort from 2024-25, and understand that it can feel quite overwhelming to start a relatively new and often misunderstood course. Because of this, I aim to help incoming Foundation Year students feel equally as involved, represented and respected at Downing! Feel free to reach out if there’s anything you’d like to discuss.

Hiya, i’m Connor, Downing’s Access Officer this year! I’m a second year Bio Natsci from Coventry, where I work tutoring students at my old sixth form. As a pupil premium student myself, I benefited hugely from various widening participation programmes both before and during my application. I’m excited to give back and help make Downing more accessible to talented people across all backgrounds!

We’re Chloe (History of Art) and Mayar (Geography), and we’re so excited to be your Ethnic Minority Officers! Our role involves making sure POC voices are heard at Downing so it can continue being the friendly, inclusive space it strives to be. We’ll be putting on events throughout the year, and our inbox (email or @downingbame on Instagram) is always open to any suggestions - we’d love to bring your vision to life and to celebrate as many cultures as possible. Gender Equalities Officers

Hi, we're Nellie (she/her) and Katie (she/her) and we're so excited to be your new Gender Equality Officers! Our role is to provide a safe and supportive space for all members of the Downing community. We'll also be running FemSoc this year and are hoping to host a wide range of events - keep an eye out for updates on our Instagram page @downingfemsoc. We want to work FOR you and create a space that you genuinely enjoy, so please reach out with any suggestions, feedback, or if you need support.
Bertie fields sports-related enquiries and manages information regarding Downing's numerous sports clubs, collates weekly news, results and reports, is responsible for upkeep of facilities including the gym, tennis courts and sheds, and will organise the annual Varsity Sports Day with Lincoln College, Oxford.

Hi everyone, we're Chelsea and Fumie, your JCR International Officers for this year! We are responsible for dealing with the concerns of and advocating for international students. We're very looking forward to representing the voices of all international students, so please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
Hi, we're Zaria and James, and we're this years Freshers' Reps! Our role is to act as an initial line of contact for the freshers, as well as to represent them both on the JCR and within the wider student body. We also organise the Marriage Formal and Freshers' Week. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out!
Ents Officers

Matila and Emilia oversee Downing Ents, organising various events each term, including the halfway hall and the JCR garden party. They work with the JCR and the college to help make the social scene for Downing students as lively as possible! My name's Gabriel and I am the Accommodation and Services Officer for this year. I am the point of contact between students and college on all things related to your stay at Downing, such as your rooms, laundry and gym facilities. Hi, I'm Ameiyah, and I'm the JCR Comms Officer! As part of my role, I send out a weekly bulletin with key updates and run the JCR Instagram account.
